Is it health food or is it just business?

Cheeseburger or Celebrity bod?

I have noticed with all the new weight loss products and systems out there that it is getting really difficult to differentiate what is truly good for you and what is just a business ploy. Since there is such a massive wave of people out there that either need to lose weight because they eat at McDonalds every other day or think they need to lose weight because society and celebrity pictures make them feel fat when they are perfectly healthy, companies are turning a buck by putting "Fat Free" on the box.

I understand the need for food production to go healthy. I get it. The fact of the matter is the food world has gotten out of control in the last few years; you really can't trust any type of processed food being sold now. Have you ever seen the documentary "Food Inc"? Watch it. I promise you will think differently about the food you eat after you do. The "healthy food" world seems to be nothing more than a niche or area where some of the big company food producers can turn record profits while you stay fat. It really doesn't really seem fair to me.

Don't just put it on the Box, DO IT!

It sure makes you feel good when you go grocery shopping and pick up all the health food doesn't it? I know that I always feel like such a better person for passing up on the Captain Crunch and getting the box of Total instead. Total is healthy right? I mean, that is what the commercial says. That is what the box says. The problem with the box and the commercial is they say stuff like, "No added Sugar" or "Fat Free" but sugar has so many names no one can really keep them all straight anymore and fat isn't necessarily a bad thing if you are eating the right ones. It is actually something our body needs. So I make a challenge to you food producers out there... Don't just put it on the box. Let's see a little follow through.

Why is all this important?

Well if you are like me, you just don't have the time to do all the research that is required to know what is actually good for you. You need help to decide what you should actually put in your cart at the store and what isn't just coming across as some false advertising. If I could show you a solution to this, would you listen? I am not going to say the big D (Diet) because that is not what you want to hear and best of all, that is NOT what this is.
